Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk once again showed the mentality that makes him one of the game’s elite when pressed with a tough question about silverware.
When asked whether he would rather lift the Premier League or the Champions League this season, the Dutch defender refused to be drawn into the debate.
💬 “I’m not going to pick between them because I want both. That’s the goal — and I’ll fight for it alongside my teammates this season,” Van Dijk said with conviction.
The reporter then mentioned that Mohamed Salah had already given his own answer to the same question. Van Dijk simply laughed, responding:
💬 “Yeah, Mo enjoys those kinds of questions — I’ll let him handle it. But honestly, I’m sure he feels the same way I do.”
With that, Van Dijk underlined his focus on collective success rather than soundbites, leaving fans even more inspired about Liverpool’s ambitions.
