The PFA Awards night was filled with glittering moments, but one particular exchange between Mohamed Salah and Declan Rice has sent social media into overdrive.

Salah, crowned Men’s Player of the Year for a record third time, stood alongside his Liverpool teammates and Premier League stars when Rice made a bold statement about Arsenal’s recent struggles.

> “It’s been really tough, coming second three years in a row,” Rice admitted. “But in life, you sometimes need small setbacks before success. We’ll keep pushing until we win.”

As the Arsenal midfielder spoke, cameras quickly caught Salah lowering his head and glancing toward Virgil van Dijk, sparking instant speculation among fans. Was it amusement? Was it agreement? Or was it simply Salah trying to stay composed on a big night? 👀

The short clip quickly went viral, with supporters offering different takes:

Some insisted Salah was fighting back laughter.

Others defended the Egyptian, saying he’s always respectful and wouldn’t mock an opponent.

A few even suggested there may have been an “inside joke” between Salah and Van Dijk at that exact moment.

Adding more intrigue, another camera angle later revealed Van Dijk smiling as Rice spoke—fueling the online frenzy even further.

Interestingly, Salah later gave his own thoughts on the upcoming season and surprised many by tipping Arsenal as favourites to win the league.

> “They have a great squad that has been together for years,” Salah noted. “This could be their season.”

So, was Salah’s reaction just a natural moment caught on camera—or a subtle message to Arsenal after Liverpool’s title triumph? Fans can’t seem to agree, but one thing’s certain: the clip has become the most talked-about highlight of the PFA Awards. 🔥
