Arne Slot’s time at Liverpool appears to be hanging by a thread — and now, all eyes have turned to one legendary name: Zinedine Zidane. 👀

Just weeks ago, things looked bright for Slot’s side after a strong start to the 2025/26 campaign, including seven consecutive wins across all competitions. But fast-forward to late October, and the atmosphere at Anfield has completely changed. Four straight Premier League defeats — along with a shocking Champions League loss to Galatasaray — have left the Dutchman under serious pressure.

Following the 3–2 defeat to Brentford, frustration among fans has reached boiling point, and bookmakers have reacted fast. The odds of Zidane taking over at Anfield have now been slashed, fueling speculation of a potential managerial shake-up.

According to Betfair, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner leads the race at 3/1, followed by Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola at 4/1. Zidane sits just behind them at 9/2, while Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann trails at 7/1. And for those dreaming big, a dramatic Jurgen Klopp return sits at 9/1.

So, what’s Zidane’s real stance on Liverpool? 🤔

The French icon has never hidden his admiration for the Reds. He once described Anfield as one of the best and most unforgettable grounds to play in, calling Liverpool “a complete team” during his time at Real Madrid.

“Some will talk about their front three,” Zidane once said, “but I see a solid, well-balanced unit. You have to stay alert against them.”

However, there’s one major obstacle — the language barrier. In an interview with L’Équipe back in 2022, Zidane admitted:

> “I understand English, but I don’t completely master it. Some managers go abroad without speaking the language — but that’s not how I work.”

Still, with Liverpool’s form declining and fans calling for change, could Zidane’s admiration for the club outweigh his hesitation? The coming weeks could reveal whether the French legend is ready to answer Anfield’s call. ⚡
