Liverpool have confirmed their 29-man squad for the upcoming pre-season tour of Asia — but it’s who’s not on the list that has everyone talking 👀.

The Reds, who have already dismantled Preston and Stoke City in recent friendlies, are now set to face AC Milan in Hong Kong and Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan. However, head coach Arne Slot has made two surprising omissions that hint at potential exits before the season begins.

❌ Luis Diaz, heavily linked with Bayern Munich in recent weeks, has been left out of the squad. The Colombian winger didn’t feature in the recent 5-0 win over Stoke City either, and Bayern’s failed £58.5 million bid has only added fuel to the fire.

❌ Also missing is Federico Chiesa, who only joined the Reds last year for around £10 million. Though he found the net against Stoke, reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano suggests Chiesa’s exclusion is tied to an expected summer departure. While James Pearce of The Athletic attributed the absence to a “minor fitness issue,” fans aren’t convinced.

💬 “They can hear me crying in Liverpool with this news,” one supporter posted.

💬 “We definitely need another attacker if Chiesa’s going too,” another added.

Despite the drama, the squad still features heavyweights like Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, and Alisson Becker — along with exciting new arrivals Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez. Another surprise? Dominik Szoboszlai was deployed as a right-back in the recent Stoke win. 👀

Liverpool’s full squad for Asia tour:

Alisson, Gomez, Endo, Van Dijk, Konate, Szoboszlai, Nunez, Mac Allister, Salah, Jones, Gakpo, Elliott, Tsimikas, Robertson, Gravenberch, Doak, Woodman, Mamardashvili, Kerkez, Wirtz, Frimpong, Pecsi, Ngumoha, Misciur, Morton, Bradley, Stephenson, Nyoni.
