Former England striker Teddy Sheringham has singled out Ryan Gravenberch as one of Liverpool’s most influential players this season, insisting the Dutchman’s contributions are going under the radar.Liverpool have bounced back strongly after their Community Shield penalty loss to Crystal Palace, stringing together seven straight wins in all competitions. According to Sheringham, Gravenberch’s growing influence has been central to that perfect run.“When he first arrived, he looked a bit unsure of himself,” Sheringham explained. “But since then, his development has been remarkable. He now looks every inch a top-class midfielder.”Sheringham went further, suggesting Gravenberch already belongs in the conversation among the Premier League’s elite midfielders. “I love the way he handles the game. He’s been vital to Liverpool’s rise into one of the most formidable sides in Europe right now.”Despite the presence of headline names like Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, new striker Alexander Isak, and Hugo Ekitiké, Sheringham believes Gravenberch remains one of the team’s unsung heroes.“People might overlook him because of the stars around him,” he added, “but I’ve got a strong feeling he’ll play a decisive role in Liverpool’s bid for the Premier League title this season.”
