Ramy Abbas Issa, the long-time representative of Mohamed Salah, has previously spoken highly of Arne Slot — especially after the Dutchman guided Liverpool to Premier League glory last season. But after Salah’s explosive post-match outburst following the Leeds draw, many are now wondering how the agent truly feels.

Salah stunned supporters when he revealed he felt “betrayed” and claimed trust between himself and the manager had broken down. It’s the kind of revelation that doesn’t just shake a dressing room — it rattles an entire football club.

From Praise to Potential Doubt

Earlier in the year, Abbas Issa publicly applauded Slot’s work, calling him “excellent at his job” in a rare post on X — praise that aligned with Liverpool’s dominant title run at the time.

But circumstances have changed dramatically. Liverpool’s difficult 2025/26 campaign, coupled with Salah’s recent spells on the bench, may have forced the agent to reevaluate his stance. Salah clearly feels let down by recent team selections, and that tension has now burst into the open.

Is Salah Acting Alone — or Being Pushed?

There is speculation that Salah may have been encouraged to speak out after three straight games as a substitute. Still, it seems unlikely that his agent — who publicly supported Slot less than a year ago — would advise such a confrontational move.

What’s more likely is that Salah reacted emotionally, something fans have seen from him before. He has always been passionate, always worn his emotions openly, especially when he feels he’s giving everything for the shirt.

Liverpool’s Stance: Slot Comes First

While Salah may feel justified in expressing his frustrations, history has shown that Liverpool is a club built on strong managerial authority. And that tradition doesn’t appear to be changing.

According to a recent report in The Times, Fenway Sports Group remains committed to giving Slot the chance to work through this difficult period. Their support has not wavered, despite the turmoil surrounding the squad.

In other words: the manager’s vision — not player power — will determine what happens next.

What Happens Now?

For Salah, the situation seems to be heading toward one of two outcomes:

1. He fights his way back into Slot’s plans, producing performances that demand selection
OR

2. He and his camp push for a move away, bringing an end to one of the greatest careers in Liverpool’s modern era.

Liverpool fans will undoubtedly hope it’s the first. Seeing Salah depart under such tense circumstances would be a painful end to a legendary chapter at Anfield.
