The 23-year-old midfielder has quickly developed into one of the most exciting young players in English football, attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs across the division. However, fresh reports suggest Liverpool hold a unique advantage. As part of the agreement that sent Harvey Elliott to Villa earlier in the summer, the Reds are believed to have negotiated a special clause that gives them priority access to Rogers’ signature.
The revelation claims Liverpool can match Villa’s asking price and move ahead of competitors if they decide to make an approach—potentially as early as January. Even more intriguing, Rogers himself is thought to be open to the switch.
Liverpool already spent big in the recent transfer window, landing high-profile names like Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, and Hugo Ekitike. Yet with Rogers’ stock rising rapidly, Anfield chiefs may view him as the next long-term investment capable of becoming a star at the very top level.
