Alexander Isak has thrown his Newcastle United future into chaos after releasing a fiery message on social media, claiming broken promises and insisting that his relationship with the club is beyond repair.

The Swedish forward, who has been strongly linked with Liverpool, made it clear that he no longer sees a way back on Tyneside. Newcastle responded swiftly, branding his actions “disappointing” while stressing that he will only be sold if their conditions are met. The Magpies have already turned down Liverpool’s opening £110m bid, standing firm on their £150m valuation.

🎙️ According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Premier League champions are weighing up a fresh approach. He reported that Liverpool are prepared to return with another offer—likely around £120m, a fee which would smash the British transfer record—if they sense Newcastle may soften their stance. However, Jacobs noted it’s “unlikely” the Reds will stretch close to the £150m asking price.

With the transfer deadline looming on September 1st, the standoff is reaching a critical stage. Liverpool see Isak as a marquee addition for the present and future, but Newcastle’s refusal to budge leaves the player caught in limbo.

If no agreement is struck this summer, the saga could drag on into January—or even the summer of 2026—though by then, Newcastle may hope to patch things up with their star striker.

Still, with tensions running high and Liverpool desperate to strengthen Arne Slot’s attacking options, many expect at least one more push before the window slams shut. Could the Reds finally break Newcastle’s resolve, or will Isak remain trapped in a fractured relationship with his club? 👀
