Liverpool have begun quietly preparing for life after Mohamed Salah, with fresh reports suggesting the club is paying close attention to Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
According to sources familiar with the situation, there is growing belief that Salah could leave Anfield in the near future. As a result, Liverpool are already compiling a list of possible successors — and Barcola is among the standout names being monitored, alongside Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.
PSG’s Stance on Barcola
The challenge for Liverpool, however, lies in PSG’s current position. The French champions are believed to value Barcola highly and may attempt to extend his contract, which already runs until 2028. Despite this, insiders still view a transfer as achievable.
Barcola, 23, has struggled to cement a guaranteed starting spot under Luis Enrique due to fierce competition, a factor that could encourage him to consider a fresh chapter elsewhere. Liverpool believe the youngster could flourish with a more prominent role at Anfield.

While he clearly possesses exciting potential, replacing a legend like Salah remains a monumental task. The Egyptian has delivered 250 goals in 420 appearances and routinely surpasses 30 goals per season.
Should Salah depart, Liverpool may need more than one solution — with players like Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz also expected to shoulder greater responsibility in attack.
