Liverpool Exit Looms as Isak Deal Nears Completion 🚨

Liverpool are preparing to part ways with one of their long-serving players as the club closes in on a record-breaking transfer for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.

The Reds have already spent big this summer, adding stars like Florian Wirtz (£116m) and Hugo Ekitike, while also waving goodbye to Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez. Now, attention has turned to Isak, who has been at the centre of one of the transfer window’s biggest sagas.

Reports suggest Liverpool have finally agreed a British-record fee with Newcastle, paving the way for the Swedish forward’s arrival. Alongside that, negotiations with Crystal Palace for defender Marc Guehi are also progressing quickly, with the club racing against the 7pm UK deadline. Guehi impressed in Palace’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa just days ago, further strengthening Liverpool’s interest.

If the Guehi move is completed, Joe Gomez could be the one to make way. According to Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan are ready to snap up the versatile defender, who has been assessing his options following Milan’s sale of Malick Thiaw to Newcastle. Gomez, now 28, has been at Anfield since 2015 and has made 243 appearances, most recently featuring off the bench in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Arsenal.

Speaking after that victory, head coach Arne Slot admitted he was waiting for updates:

> “I will probably hear tonight if anything happens,” he told reporters.

Should both Isak and Guehi arrive, they would become Liverpool’s eighth and ninth signings of a relentless summer transfer window.
