Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has sent shockwaves through the fanbase after suggesting that Mohamed Salah should no longer be an automatic starter in every match for the Reds.

Speaking on The Overlap, Carragher expressed concern over Liverpool’s current tactical setup, saying it offers “no real balance” when Salah stays high up the pitch without tracking back.

> “If you’re not getting goals at one end and you’re left open at the other, then something has to change,” Carragher warned. “Either Salah has to start helping defensively, or someone else takes that spot in certain games.”

He added that particularly in away fixtures, Liverpool might need to rethink Salah’s guaranteed place in the lineup.

So far this Premier League season, the Egyptian forward has netted only four goals in eleven matches — a dip that could make this his lowest-scoring campaign since joining the club in 2017.

Carragher’s comments have reignited debate among fans: is it time for Klopp to rotate his star man more often? 👀🔥
