Injury Setback: Frimpong Ruled Out Until After International Break 🚑

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has confirmed that Jeremie Frimpong will be sidelined with a hamstring problem and won’t return until after the international break.

The full-back started in the Reds’ 4-2 victory over Bournemouth but was withdrawn around the 60-minute mark. Slot later explained that the decision was based on medical advice, with the staff spotting signs of a muscle issue during the game.

“Some people questioned the substitution,” Slot admitted ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Newcastle. “But the medical team advised me to take Jeremie off, and they were absolutely right. It wasn’t about his performance — it was about preventing further damage. We expect him to be back after the break.”

There was some positive news, however, as young defender Conor Bradley returned to training, taking part in a light session for the first time since his layoff.
