Federico Chiesa’s time at Liverpool has been filled with ups and downs, but clarity has finally emerged regarding his long-term plans at the club. According to his father, Enrico Chiesa, the Italian winger remains fully focused on succeeding at Anfield.
The 27-year-old attacker has faced a challenging campaign since arriving on Merseyside. Injuries and stiff competition for places have limited his opportunities, making it difficult for him to establish a regular role in the starting lineup. Even so, Chiesa has shown flashes of his quality when called upon.
One of his standout moments came in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, where he scored the winning goal to help Liverpool lift the trophy. That memorable contribution remains a rare highlight in what has otherwise been a frustrating season for the former Juventus star.
With the season entering its final stretch and only a handful of Premier League matches remaining, rumors have continued to circulate about a possible summer exit. However, those claims have now been strongly rejected.
Speaking in a recent interview with Tuttosport, Enrico Chiesa insisted that his son is content at Liverpool and has no intention of leaving.
“Federico is very happy at Liverpool,” he said. “He is part of a top club that is currently leading the Premier League, and we are hopeful he can win the title. He has a big opportunity here and wants to play his part.”
Despite his positive mindset, breaking into Liverpool’s starting XI has proven difficult. Chiesa has yet to start a Premier League match this season and has only been named in the first team twice across all competitions, making a total of 11 appearances so far.
For a player who played a key role in Italy’s Euro 2020 success and built a strong reputation at Fiorentina and Juventus, such limited involvement is unexpected. Many still view him as one of Europe’s most talented and exciting wide forwards.
Nevertheless, Chiesa appears determined to fight for his place and prove his worth in English football. Whether he can secure more playing time before the end of the campaign remains to be seen, but for now, his commitment to Liverpool is not in doubt.
