Fabrizio Romano reports that Federico Chiesa currently intends to remain at Liverpool for the rest of the season, though the upcoming January transfer window could shift the situation dramatically.

The Italian forward has been restricted to just eight Premier League appearances so far — all coming from the bench — yet he is still determined to prove himself and secure a bigger role under Arne Slot.

However, Romano notes that Chiesa’s stance may not remain the same if his playing time doesn’t increase by mid-January. The uncertainty could grow even stronger if Liverpool decide to push forward with their interest in Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo.

Chiesa, now 28, is also eyeing a place in Italy’s squad for the World Cup play-off matches in March. Regular minutes are crucial for that goal, which means a winter exit cannot be completely dismissed if his situation doesn’t improve at Anfield.
