Dream Not Over Yet: Liverpool’s Hopes of Signing Osimhen Still Alive!

Liverpool may not be out of the race for one of Europe’s deadliest finishers just yet! According to fresh updates from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there’s renewed belief at Anfield that Victor Osimhen could still become a Red this summer. 👀
The Nigerian striker, who was on fire during his loan spell at Galatasaray with a staggering 37 goals in 41 games, is attracting serious interest — and not just from Turkey.
Despite Galatasaray’s efforts to secure him permanently, Napoli have yet to greenlight the deal, sparking speculation that other clubs — including Liverpool — could jump in. Romano explained:
> “Napoli think other clubs may enter the race, which is why they haven’t accepted Galatasaray’s bid yet… but the Turkish side is pushing hard.”
🔴 Liverpool Still in the Mix?
Liverpool have already bolstered their squad this window with big names like Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong, but manager Arne Slot reportedly wants one more elite forward — especially with Darwin Nunez’s future still uncertain.
With Napoli said to be open to offers around €75 million, Liverpool would need to act fast and perhaps offload some fringe players to finance the deal. If they pull this off, it could redefine their attacking line-up heading into the new season.
🗣️ It’s worth remembering former Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti once called Osimhen a “complete striker.” No wonder Liverpool are still dreaming.
But time is ticking… and Galatasaray aren’t slowing down.
