Chelsea’s Stance on Liverpool-Linked Marc Guehi Revealed Ahead of January Window 🔵🔴

Reports suggest Chelsea are not prioritising a move for Marc Guehi despite growing speculation over his future.

The Crystal Palace defender, who will be out of contract at the end of the season, was on Liverpool’s radar in the summer but a deal never materialised. With several clubs circling, many expected Chelsea to be among the frontrunners, especially given their defensive concerns.

Injuries have left Enzo Maresca’s backline short of depth—Levi Colwill faces a lengthy spell out with an ACL injury, while Benoît Badiashile has only just recovered from his own layoff. On paper, Guehi looks like the perfect solution. At 25, he’s entering his prime years, boasts plenty of Premier League experience, and is already familiar with Stamford Bridge, having come through Chelsea’s academy ranks.

Still, according to TEAMtalk, the Blues are not actively pushing to bring him back. That opens the door for rivals—Liverpool included—to reignite their interest when the January market opens.

Guehi’s reliability and consistency make him an attractive option for any top club in need of defensive reinforcement. Both Liverpool and Chelsea could benefit from his qualities, but the question remains: will Chelsea hold firm on their current stance, or reconsider if the opportunity proves too good to miss?
