The Scottish defender, signed from Aberdeen in 2022 for £4.2 million, hasn’t featured for the senior team since November 2022, when he appeared in both the Champions League and a Carabao Cup tie against Derby County.
Unfortunately, his season was cut short by a knee surgery that kept him sidelined for months. Since then, Ramsay has had loan spells at Preston, Bolton, Wigan, and Kilmarnock, before returning to Anfield this summer.
Now 22, Ramsay has impressed with Liverpool’s Under-21 squad, even wearing the captain’s armband in several matches and recently scoring in a 4–1 victory over Everton.
Given Bradley’s fitness concerns, Slot may finally hand the young right-back his first senior appearance in nearly three years, reigniting a career that once promised so much. 🔥
