Alan Shearer selects Liverpool–Man City combined XI ahead of Anfield showdown

Alan Shearer has shared his combined Liverpool and Manchester City lineup as the two Premier League heavyweights prepare to meet at Anfield this weekend.
The former Newcastle striker leaned heavily towards Liverpool in his selection, naming just three Manchester City players in the XI. Pep Guardiola’s representatives are Erling Haaland, Bernardo Silva, and recent arrival Marc Guéhi.
Despite not being at his explosive best this season, Mohamed Salah still earned a spot in Shearer’s team, underlining his continued influence. At left-back, Andy Robertson was preferred ahead of Milos Kerkez.
Going into the clash, Liverpool find themselves sixth in the league standings, while Manchester City occupy second place, trailing league leaders Arsenal by six points.
