Alan Shearer Makes Bold Claim About Liverpool’s Star Striker Compared to Haaland

Haaland, who added to his tally with a brace in City’s 2-2 Champions League draw against Monaco, has already racked up 11 goals in eight games this season – 17 in 10 if you include internationals. His scoring record speaks for itself.
But Liverpool’s new £125m forward, Alexander Isak, despite netting only once in his first five outings under Arne Slot, has already proven himself in England’s top flight with an impressive 54 goals in 88 appearances prior to his Anfield move.
Speaking on Amazon Prime during coverage of Liverpool’s clash with Galatasaray, Shearer insisted that while Haaland is unmatched as a ruthless finisher, Isak offers something unique.
> “They’re very different players. Haaland is the most lethal goalscorer in the world, but Isak brings qualities Haaland doesn’t. He can run with the ball, his touch and technique are superb, and he provides different options up front,” Shearer explained.
According to the former Newcastle captain, Haaland will always outscore Isak, but Liverpool’s No. 9 has attributes that make him a more complete footballer in certain aspects.
