Morton’s time at Liverpool has seen him face fierce competition for places under both Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot. Despite limited opportunities, he’s been praised for his professionalism, quality, and commitment whenever called upon.

Reports of Lyon’s interest surfaced in late July, and Joyce now claims the transfer will be worth around £15 million, with Liverpool also inserting a 20% sell-on clause — another smart piece of business from sporting director Richard Hughes and his team.
