🚨 Eddie Howe’s Comments Fuel Doubts Over Alexander Isak’s Future Amid Liverpool Interest

The uncertainty surrounding Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle United continues to grow, with manager Eddie Howe adding fuel to the speculation fire amid Liverpool’s strong interest in the Swedish striker.

Isak sparked controversy earlier this summer by skipping Newcastle’s pre-season tour of Asia and instead choosing to train privately at his former club, Real Sociedad. Although he’s now back at the club’s training ground, questions remain over whether he’ll fully reintegrate ahead of the new Premier League season.

🔄 Liverpool’s Push and Newcastle’s Resistance
Liverpool’s opening offer, believed to be in the region of £110 million, was firmly turned down by Newcastle, who are reportedly holding out for closer to £150 million. Yet despite the rejection, many believe the Reds aren’t done yet and may return with an improved bid.

🎙️ Howe’s Uncertain Stance on Isak’s Involvement
Speaking to the media, Eddie Howe offered no guarantees when asked if the 25-year-old would feature in upcoming pre-season plans. “Of course, I’d like him to,” he admitted, “but I don’t know at this moment. Other people have been dealing with the situation back home.”

Such a statement does little to quell rumours of a looming departure and may signal deeper tensions behind the scenes.

🤔 Replacement Lined Up?
Newcastle are said to be exploring the possibility of bringing in Benjamin Šeško—a move many view not as a partnership with Isak, but as a contingency plan should the Swede depart. Interest from other clubs, including Manchester United, may complicate things, but if Newcastle secure a replacement, it could open the door for Isak’s move to Anfield.

⚠️ The Big Question
Will Liverpool return with a bid that finally meets Newcastle’s valuation? All eyes are on the Reds as they weigh their next move in what’s becoming one of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas.
