Liverpool Secure Personal Terms with New Attacking Target as Isak Saga Heats Up šŸ”„

Liverpool’s summer transfer window continues to stir headlines, with the latest twist revealing a new attacking target potentially entering Anfield, as talks over Alexander Isak take a sour turn.

Despite already making waves with the record-breaking acquisition of German sensation Florian Wirtz and the arrivals of Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, and Hugo Ekitike, the Merseyside club is showing no signs of slowing down.

The Reds have long been chasing Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, with the Swedish striker reportedly eager to make the switch—so much so that he’s allegedly refused to participate in training sessions or pre-season matches amid growing tension at St. James’ Park.

šŸ”„ Rodrygo Enters the Picture

As negotiations with Newcastle hit a standstill—especially after the Magpies rejected a staggering Ā£110m offer—Liverpool appear to have pivoted to an alternative high-profile name: Rodrygo Goes of Real Madrid.

According to a report from ESPN Brazil via The Standard, Liverpool have already initiated contact with the Brazilian star’s representatives. Spanish journalist Siro Lopez claims Rodrygo has given the green light to a preliminary agreement on personal terms, marking a significant step forward in the potential deal.

This move comes in the wake of Luis Diaz’s Ā£65.5m transfer to Bayern Munich, which freed up both funds and space in the frontline. Many fans had anticipated those funds would bolster a deal for Isak, but the price tag on the Swedish forward—reportedly Ā£150m—has proven a major obstacle.

šŸ’¬ Newcastle Tensions Mount

Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie, who closely follows Newcastle developments, shared insights on his YouTube channel, claiming:

> ā€œAlexander Isak wants out. He’s clearly unsettled. The fact that he’s training in the Basque region alone isn’t due to injury—it’s because he’s frustrated and believes Newcastle have gone back on promises related to either a wage increase or a possible exit.ā€

Downie went on to stress just how deteriorated the situation has become:

> ā€œIt’s very, very ugly at the moment.ā€

šŸ”® What’s Next for Liverpool?

While signing Rodrygo wouldn’t entirely rule out a move for Isak, pulling off both transfers seems unlikely given the financial scale of each deal. Real Madrid are said to value their forward at around Ā£70m, and with Isak’s price hovering at nearly double that, Liverpool may be forced to choose.

Still, with the transfer window far from over, don’t count out another dramatic turn in this story. Stay tuned, Reds fans… this one’s far from settled! šŸ‘€
