Luis Diaz didn’t take long to grab attention in Germany.

Making his first appearance for Bayern Munich since his high-profile move from Liverpool, the Colombian winger impressed fans and pundits alike during a pre-season showdown at the Allianz Arena against French outfit Lyon.

👕 Diaz, now wearing Bayern’s No. 14 shirt, came off the bench at halftime and quickly made his presence felt. Within 15 minutes of entering the pitch, he won a penalty that teammate Michael Olise slotted home to open the scoring. His performance was full of energy and intent — completing 93% of his passes and firing two shots on target.

Despite not completing either of his two attempted dribbles, Diaz was fouled both times, showing just how difficult he was to contain. The German press took notice.
