It appears Federico Chiesa’s Liverpool journey may soon come to a close, as fresh reports suggest the Italian winger is open to returning home — and several Serie A clubs are circling. 👀
According to sources close to player representatives, Liverpool are unlikely to obstruct Chiesa’s exit if he reaches a deal with another club. The 27-year-old hasn’t quite settled under Arne Slot and could be heading back to familiar territory in Italy.
Napoli and Atalanta have shown the most serious intent so far, with the latter considering him as a possible replacement for Ademola Lookman — but only if they manage to cash in on the Nigerian forward, who is valued at €50 million. 🤑
Napoli, meanwhile, are exploring a loan-to-buy offer, with an initial temporary move and a €9 million option to sign him permanently. Milan and Bologna are also monitoring the situation but haven’t made concrete moves yet, largely due to financial constraints.
Chiesa, once a standout at Juventus, hasn’t made the same impact in Merseyside. With new signings like Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike crowding Liverpool’s attacking options, the path back into the starting lineup looks slim for the Italian. 😬
Given Liverpool’s recent spending spree, offloading fringe players like Chiesa could also help balance the books ahead of the new season.
Stay tuned — could we see a dramatic return to Serie A for Chiesa before the window slams shut? 🔁🇮🇹
