The battle to sign one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards is heating up fast!
Sources reveal that Liverpool and West Ham are among a host of Premier League clubs making moves for 18-year-old Metz striker Idrissa Gueye. The Senegalese talent has become a hot topic in transfer circles after a promising season in France’s Ligue 2.
But they aren’t alone. Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Southampton, and newly-promoted Ipswich Town are also in the chase for the gifted teenager. The Premier League isn’t the only destination being explored, either — clubs from Germany and Italy have joined the hunt.
Bundesliga sides Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt are reported to be monitoring Gueye’s progress, while Serie A outfits Parma, Atalanta, and Inter Milan have also expressed interest.
Having made 17 appearances and scored six goals last season, Gueye has drawn attention for his versatility — frequently deployed as a central striker, yet also effective playing just behind the front line.
Reports from L’Équipe suggest Metz are open to letting him go, but only for a price in the region of €20 million (£17 million).
With so many suitors circling and clubs eager to secure long-term firepower, the race for Gueye’s signature could become one of the summer’s most intriguing transfer sagas. ⚽💰🇸🇳
