Sources indicate that the Merseyside giants have secured a deal worth around £69 million, with potential add-ons pushing the total close to £78 million, to bring Ekitike to Anfield.

However, with Ekitike now on his way, insiders believe the Reds may find it difficult—both financially and tactically—to chase the Sweden international as well.

While Newcastle United have consistently maintained that Isak is not for sale, rumours surrounding his future refuse to die down.
