Romano Drops Five-Word Tease as Liverpool Eye More Transfers After Ekitike 💥

Liverpool fans who thought the club was done with transfers after Hugo Ekitike’s imminent arrival might want to hold onto their hats — because Fabrizio Romano just hinted there’s more to come!

Following an aggressive summer spree that’s already seen the Reds secure Giorgi Mamardashvili, Jeremie Frimpong, Armin Pecsi, Florian Wirtz, and Milos Kerkez — all totaling over £170 million — the Anfield outfit is about to take their spending past the £250 million mark. Ekitike’s £79 million switch from Eintracht Frankfurt is nearly finalized, with the French striker flying in for his medical today.

And it seems Liverpool aren’t closing shop just yet.

Taking to Instagram, transfer guru Romano shared an edited image of the new arrivals in Liverpool kits, headlined by a bold five-word message that sent fans into a frenzy: “Liverpool are not done yet!” 🔥

He hinted that additional signings could be on the way once Ekitike’s move is complete — then cheekily asked fans to rate the club’s transfer business so far.

Where Could Liverpool Strengthen Next? 👀

With most positions now boasting top-tier talent, the one area that still looks light is the heart of defense. According to The Athletic’s Gregg Evans, new boss Arne Slot would prefer to have two senior players competing for every role — and that could mean a new centre-back is next on the agenda.

David Ornstein has reported that Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi is a target, with Palace reportedly open to selling now rather than risk losing him for free when his contract ends next year.

While departures could still shift Liverpool’s plans, it’s clear the club is not finished making headlines this summer. As Romano suggested — expect more fireworks before the window slams shut in August.
