Liverpool have been dealt a serious setback ahead of the 2025/26 season after confirming that Andy Robertson has suffered a significant knee injury during training at the AXA Training Centre.

The 31-year-old Scottish international sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during a routine, non-contact drill, which will keep him out of action for an estimated six to nine months. This means Robertson is expected to miss most of the upcoming Premier League and Champions League campaigns.
