Liverpool’s late push to secure Marc Guehi has ended in disappointment, with Crystal Palace pulling the plug on the transfer despite advanced progress.
The Reds had agreed a fee of around ÂŁ35 million for the 25-year-old defender, and according to David Ornstein, Guehi even passed his medical ahead of a proposed move. But Palace blocked the switch at the last moment, unwilling to let him go without first lining up a replacement.
