Premier League heavyweights Liverpool and Chelsea have reportedly set their sights on a towering young defender who previously came through the Real Madrid system. Both clubs are said to be tracking the 6 ft 5 in Spaniard as they look to bolster their backlines.

The centre-back in question is Jacobo Ramón, a 21-year-old currently starring for Como in Italy’s Serie A after leaving Real Madrid last summer. Once part of Madrid’s academy, Ramón has impressed with his physical presence and defensive abilities, catching the attention of scouts from multiple top clubs.

Despite interest from Liverpool and Chelsea, Real Madrid could yet influence his future — the Spanish giants reportedly hold a buy-back option on him and would benefit from clauses tied to his transfer. That might complicate any potential Premier League switch.

Both English clubs see Ramón as a long-term investment who could grow into a key defensive figure. As the January window unfolds, all eyes will be on how their pursuit unfolds and whether Madrid enact their option to bring him back.
