Liverpool’s summer arrival, Florian Wirtz, is still fighting to settle at Anfield — and Bayern legend Uli Hoeness has decided he’s not done talking about it. After criticising the Reds on Sunday, he returned 24 hours later with an even harsher take.
Speaking at the “Sport Marke Medien” event in Munich, Hoeness claimed that Arne Slot hasn’t delivered on key promises allegedly made to Wirtz. According to him, Wirtz was assured he’d wear the iconic No. 10 shirt and have a new team built around him. Instead? He’s wearing No. 7… and Liverpool look nothing like a side designed for him.
Hoeness reportedly slammed the situation as “nonsense,” pointing to Liverpool’s poor results and insisting their season is “practically gone.” 😬
What does this mean for Wirtz? For Slot? For Liverpool’s already fragile campaign? The tension keeps rising… ⚡👀
