The Premier League could be about to witness another transfer tug-of-war — and this time it involves Liverpool, Manchester City, and a Brazilian star who may be on the move.

Rodrygo, the talented forward from Real Madrid, is reportedly unsettled in Spain under new boss Xabi Alonso. Limited minutes during the Club World Cup and even being benched in Madrid’s opening La Liga clash have left the attacker questioning his future.

Now, fresh reports claim his representatives are heading to the UK to hold discussions with both Liverpool and City as interest in the 23-year-old grows.

Despite Xabi Alonso publicly backing him, the signs suggest Rodrygo is not seen as a first-choice option. Real Madrid are therefore considering cashing in, rather than leaving him frustrated on the bench.

🔴 Liverpool’s angle: With Luis Díaz already gone to Bayern Munich, Arne Slot is exploring alternatives, even though Newcastle striker Alexander Isak remains their top target. Rodrygo, who can operate across the frontline, is seen as an attractive option.

⚽ The numbers don’t lie: Last season, Rodrygo hit 14 goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions. It’s no wonder former Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti once described him as “special.”

The big question is… will he choose Anfield, the Etihad, or stay put at the Bernabéu? 👀
