Liverpool’s plans for a major summer rebuild under new boss Arne Slot have hit a roadblock, with one of their key striker targets reportedly making a final decision on his future.

One name that had been strongly linked to the Merseyside club was Victor Osimhen, currently contracted to Napoli. The Nigerian forward had a standout loan spell last season at Galatasaray, where he netted an astonishing 37 goals.
🚨 However, fresh reports from Corriere dello Sport indicate that Osimhen has chosen to make his stay in Istanbul permanent, turning down both Premier League interest and big-money offers from Saudi Arabia. His preference is clear: a return to Galatasaray, where he flourished last season.
This decision effectively rules out a Liverpool move, forcing Arne Slot and the Anfield recruitment team to look elsewhere.
With Alexander Isak of Newcastle and Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt also on their radar, Liverpool may now shift focus to Ekitike, as Isak’s valuation remains a stumbling block.
