Liverpool’s summer transfer window has been nothing short of dramatic, with Arne Slot shaping his squad for another title challenge. The Reds have already smashed their transfer record to bring in Florian Wirtz, while Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitike also arrived to bolster key positions. And with talks ongoing for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, the Merseyside giants aren’t done yet.
But away from Anfield’s business dealings, some of Liverpool’s players turned their attention elsewhere this week – celebrating a familiar face stepping into the Premier League spotlight.
✍️ Bournemouth land Adli in £25m deal
Bournemouth confirmed the signing of Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth around £25 million. The Moroccan forward, who previously played alongside Wirtz and Frimpong in Germany, was unveiled on the Cherries’ social media – sparking reactions from Liverpool stars.
Florian Wirtz wrote: “Let’s go broski ❤️”
Hugo Ekitike added clapping emojis 👏
Jeremie Frimpong also showed his approval with a like.
Adli, 25, enjoyed a solid spell at Leverkusen, racking up 143 appearances with 23 goals and 25 assists. He also shared the pitch with Ekitike at youth level for France before choosing to represent Morocco at senior level.
Bournemouth moved quickly for Adli after losing Dango Ouattara to Brentford, giving Andoni Iraola another attacking option in what has already been a busy summer for the south coast club.
đź‘€ Liverpool eye Marc Guehi next
While their players applauded Adli’s big move, Liverpool’s recruitment team remain locked in talks over their own late-window addition. The Reds are reportedly pushing to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, who has entered the final year of his contract.
The 25-year-old centre-back is believed to favour a switch to Anfield, and with Palace’s £40m valuation likely to soften as deadline day approaches, Slot could yet add another key piece to his evolving squad.
⚡ With just nine days left in the window, Liverpool fans could be in for even more twists before the market slams shut.
