Respected journalist Paul Joyce has weighed in on the situation, suggesting the Reds are serious about signing the Swedish forward this summer. However, Newcastle United’s reluctance to part ways with their star man—especially without securing a replacement—remains a critical hurdle.
According to reports, Liverpool’s initial bid of £110 million has already been rejected, with Newcastle setting a hefty asking price of £150 million. The Magpies appear unwilling to let Isak leave without securing a quality striker of their own, complicating negotiations.
