According to reports emerging from Germany, Bayern Munich have initiated talks with Konaté’s representatives as they eye a possible free transfer next summer. The French defender’s current deal with Liverpool runs out at the end of the season, and renewal negotiations have reportedly stalled — opening the door for interested suitors.
Sources indicate that Bayern view Konaté as a long-term replacement for Dayot Upamecano, whose own contract situation remains uncertain. However, the Bundesliga champions are not alone in the chase. It’s believed that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have also entered the conversation, with Konaté’s camp holding discussions with all three clubs.
German journalist Tobi Altschäffl was quoted as saying:
> “We can confirm that Bayern are in talks with Konaté’s management. His deal is expiring, and his agent has also spoken to Real Madrid and PSG. Konaté is one of the hottest names on the market right now.”
Under new boss Arne Slot, Konaté has become a key figure in Liverpool’s backline, consistently featuring among the first names on the team sheet. The Dutch manager is reportedly eager to keep the defender, but with heavyweight clubs circling, the situation could soon become complicated.
While Liverpool hope to tie the 26-year-old to a new contract, interest from Bayern, PSG, and Madrid makes his future far from certain. Both the French and Spanish giants are believed to be exploring defensive reinforcements — with PSG keen to add depth and Real Madrid looking for successors to veterans Antonio Rüdiger and David Alaba.
With the clock ticking on his contract, all eyes are now on Konaté’s next move — and Liverpool fans may soon find themselves anxiously watching another transfer tug-of-war unfold.
⚽👀 Stay tuned — this story could take a dramatic twist before the season ends.
