Liverpool’s struggles continue to mount, and one of the Premier League’s most outspoken pundits believes drastic action is needed. Former Manchester United star Gary Neville has warned that Arne Slot must make tough decisions — starting by dropping two of his current full-backs.

After beginning the season in fine form, winning their first five league matches, Liverpool have suddenly hit a wall, losing four straight Premier League games. Their most recent defeat came at the hands of Brentford, where Slot’s men once again failed to cope with physical pressure and set-piece situations.

Speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast, the ex-England defender didn’t hold back in his assessment.

> “If Slot keeps using the same full-backs, he’ll keep getting the same problems,” Neville said. “You can’t keep playing Kerkez on the left and Bradley on the right when both are being left exposed in midfield. It’s like flipping a coin before every game — you don’t know whether you’ll win or lose.”

The Dutch manager does have alternatives within his squad. Joe Gomez and Dominik Szoboszlai could fill in at right-back if needed, while Andy Robertson, who’s been waiting for a recall, remains an obvious option on the left flank.

Liverpool will next face Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup midweek before hosting Aston Villa in the Premier League. With injuries to Ryan Gravenberch and Alexander Isak, Slot faces increasing pressure to find the right balance and spark a turnaround.

While Kerkez and Bradley have taken much of the heat, the issues clearly extend beyond just two players — as Liverpool search for stability before their season unravels any further.
