A wave of online chatter claiming Luis Enrique has agreed to take over as Liverpool’s manager has been dismissed as false by Paris Saint-Germain officials.

The internet was buzzing with posts suggesting the Spaniard could be on his way to Anfield amid talk of unrest around current manager Arne Slot. But PSG’s sporting director has publicly refuted those claims, describing the reports as completely untrue and not grounded in fact.

Despite Enrique being one of Europe’s most respected coaches — having led PSG to major success and with a contract in place until 2027 — the rumours that he’s about to quit his role and link up with Liverpool simply aren’t supported by his club.

So, for now, talk of Enrique swapping Paris for Merseyside remains exactly that — talk, without verification from official sources.
